Description

Mouse monoclonal antibody to CD18 which belongs to the integrin beta chain family. Defects in ITGB2 are the cause of leukocyte adhesion deficiency type 1 (LAD1). CD18 is involved in cellular adhesion and the immune response. CD18 and the a subunits are expressed broadly by all leukocytes with NK and T cells showing higher density of surface expression.

  Functional application: The antibody MEM-148 induces homotypic cell aggregation and high-affinity LFA-1 conformation in resting leukocytes. Flow cytometry: Recommended dilution: 1-5 μg/ml. The antibody MEM-148 is an excellent marker of activated myeloid cells. Western blotting: Recommended dilution: 1-2 μg/ml.
