Description

SJFα is a PROTAC molecule designed to selectively degrade p38α and p38δ isoforms. It functions by recruiting an E3 ubiquitin ligase to tag these kinases for proteasomal destruction. This tool compound is used in cancer research to study p38 signaling in both cellular and in vivo models.

  p38α:7.16 nM (DC50)|p38α:97.4% (Dmax)|p38δ:299 nM (DC50)|p38δ: 18% (Dmax)
• In Vitro:
  SJFα PROTAC (13-atom linker, amide attachment) selectively degrades p38α in MDA-MB-231 cells. SJFα degrades p38α with a DC50 = 7.16 nM and Dmax = 97.4%, but is far less effective at degrading p38δ (DC50 = 299 nM, Dmax = 18%) and does not degrade the other p38 isoforms (β and γ).
