Description

Transcription factor that specifically binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3'). Regulates transcription in a number of tissues in addition to activating immunoglobulin gene expression. Modulates transcription transactivation by NR3C1, AR and PGR. Isoform 5 activates the U2 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) promoter. [UniProt]

IHC testing of FFPE human tonsil with OCT-2 antibody (clone PD2F2-1). HIER: boil tissue sections in pH9 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

Western blot testing of human Ramos lysate with OCT-2 antibody (clone PD2F2-1). Expected molecular weight: isoforms from 43~62 kDa.
