Rabbit polyclonal to IL17A.Interleukin 17A (IL17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells. It regulates theactivities of NF-kappaB and MAP kinases. It also stimulates the expression of IL6 and COX-2 andenhances the production of nitric oxide. It enhances the surface expression of intracellular adhesionmolecule-1 in fibroblasts. High levels of IL17A have been implicated in a number of chronicinflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis.
