This enzyme is necessary for target cell lysis in cell-mediated immune responses. It cleaves after Asp. Seems to be linked to an activation cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) responsible for apoptosis execution. IHC staining of FFPE human spleen with Granzyme B antibody (clone GZB-1). HIER: boil tissue sections in pH9 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA for 10-20 min and allow to cool before testing.
