CD31 is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. It is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation. [RefSeq]

FACS testing of Jurkat cells with an isotype control (green) and CD31 antibody (red).

IHC testing of FFPE colon carcinoma and CD31 antibody (clone PCM25-1). Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 1 mM EDTA, pH7.5-8.5, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.

Western blot testing of human ThP-1 cells using CD31 antibody (clone PCM25-1). Expected molecular weight: 83-130 kDa depending on level of glycosylation.
