Bioactivity

• In Vitro:
  Anticancer agent 43 (compound 3a) selectively targets human tumor cells, exhibiting an SI50 of 28.94. In HepG2 cells treated with 45 µM for 24 hours, it induces apoptosis via caspase 3, PARP1, and Bax-dependent pathways without affecting the G1/S phase transition. It also causes DNA damage in HCT116, MCF-7, HepG2, and Balb/c 3T3 cells at concentrations of 0.7, 45, and 55 µM, as evidenced by tail DNA and Olive Tail Moment (OTM) measurements.
