  This purified antibody has been tested in western blotting. Reactivity is also expected in ELISA, neutralizations, radioimmunoassay and immunohistochemistry. The endotoxin content is estimated to be < 10 pg/µl by the LAL method. By western blot a band approximately 22 kDa in size corresponding to native monomeric human VEGF-165 protein is expected in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody will recognize both native and recombinant human VEGF-165 in cell supernatants and certain body fluids. A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

• Storage: Store vial at 4° C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Biorbyt's anti-Human VEGF-165 antibody shows detection of a band ~22 kDa in size corresponding to recombinant human VEGF-165. This isoform of VEGF tends to form a disulfide linked homodimer. Molecular weight markers are also shown (left). After transfer, the membrane was blocked overnight with 3% BSA in TBS followed by reaction with primary antibody at a 1:1000 dilution. Detection occurred using peroxidase conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG (p/n orb347654) secondary antibody diluted 1:40000 in blocking buffer (p/n orb348637) for 30 min at RT followed by reaction with FemtoMax™ chemiluminescent substrate.
