Precipitating polyclonal sheep antiserum to human inter alpha trypsin inhibitor. Inter alpha trypsin inhibitor is a proteinase inhibitor with a molecular weight of 160,000. Its mean concentration in human plasma is about 400 μg/ml. It has been isolated as a homogenous protein for use in the antiserum production. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
