Semorinemab (RG6100) is a humanized monoclonal antibody designed for Alzheimer's disease research, targeting the N-terminal domain of tau with high affinity (Kd 3.8 nM). It binds all six human tau isoforms and has been shown in preclinical studies to reduce pathological tau accumulation in both cellular and animal models.

Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  In the Tau pathology transgenic (Tg) mouse model, Semorinemab (3, 10, and 30 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection, once weekly for 13 weeks) effectively reduced Tau protein accumulation.
• In Vitro:
  The binding dissociation constants (Kd) of Semorinemab with Homo sapiens-derived Tau protein and recombinant cynomolgus monkey Tau protein (Bletilla striata) were 3.8 nM and 11.2 nM, respectively . Semorinemab effectively inhibits neuronal uptake of Tau oligomers .
