The protein activity is specific for phosphatidylinositol 4, 5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol 3, 4, 5-trisphosphate, and it hydrolyzes phosphatidylinositol 4, 5-bisphosphate most effectively also regulates AKT/GSK3B pathway by decreasing AKT and GSK3B phosphorylation.
