Prezalumab (AMG 557) is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody targeting ICOSL and BAFF, used to investigate autoimmune conditions including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), cutaneous lupus, and Sjögren's syndrome. Its mechanism of action has been studied in both in vitro assays and in vivo preclinical models relevant to B-cell and T-cell mediated autoimmunity.

Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  In mouse NZB/NZW lupus model and collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) models, Prezalumab demonstrates more efficacious effects than a single ICOSL or BAFF inhibitor. Prezalumab, similar to the pharmacological effect of BAFF inhibition, reduces B cells in cynomolgus monkeys.
