Mouse monoclonal to PIASy.Protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein gamma (PIASy) functions as an E3 small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor. PIASy functions as a transcriptional co-regulator in numerous cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53 pathway and the Wnt pathway. PIASy is also involved in gene silencing.
