Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  Peramivir (20-60 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection, single dose) inhibits LPS-induced cytokine storm, attenuates acute lung injury, and prolongs survival in a mouse model of cytokine storm syndrome . Peramivir (75 mg/kg, intramuscular injection once daily for 7 days) rescued BR/08 lethally attacked BALB scid mice in an immunosuppressed mouse model of influenza B virus infection .
• In Vitro:
  Peramivir (2-10 μM, 6-12 h) inhibits LPS-induced cytokine release from hPBMCs. Peramivir (0.3125-40 μM, 4 h) is non-toxic to macrophages.
