Neurofilaments make up the main structural elements of axons and dendrites and are found in neurons, peripheral nerves, and sympathetic ganglion cells. Neurofilaments consist of three major subunits with molecular weights of 68kDa (NF-L), 160kDa (NF-M) and 200kDa (NF-H).

Western blot testing of human brain lysate with recombinant NF-H antibody (clone NFHP-1R). Expected molecular weight ~200 kDa.

IHC staining of FFPE human cerebellum with recombinant NF-H antibody (clone NFHP-1R). Required HIER: boil tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH6, for 10-20 min and allow to cool before testing.
