MTA2 interacts with HDAC7, p53/TP53, MINT andMBD3 and may be involved in the regulation of gene expression as repressor and activator. MTA2 isclosely related to other members of this family. They indirectly affect transcription by modulatingchromatin remodeling. MTA2 is widely expressed in many tissues.
