Rabbit polyclonal to MAN1a1.Mannosyl-oligosaccharide 1,2-alpha-mannosidase IA (MAN1A1) is a type II transmembrane proteinthat belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 47 family. It is involved in the maturation of Asn-linkedoligosaccharides. MAN1A1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of the terminal (1-Greater than 2)-linked alpha-D-mannoseresidues in the oligo-mannose oligosaccharide Man(9)-GlcNAc(2). It progressively trims alpha-1,2-linked mannose residues from Man(9)GlcNAc(2) to produce Man(5)GlcNAc(2).
