Gontivimab (ALX-0171) is a trivalent nanobody designed to neutralize respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) by targeting its fusion (F) protein. Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  Gontivimab (1-68 mg/kg; administered intranasally or by nebulization) reduces RSV load in the nasal cavity and lungs of rats. Gontivimab has been shown to reduce RSV load in the nasal cavity and lungs of rats.
• In Vitro:
  Gontivimab (0-100,000 nM) exhibited antiviral effects with IC50 values of 0.1 nM and 0.4 nM against RSV-A and RSV-B 18537 strains, respectively. Gontivimab binds to antigenic site II of the F protein. Gontivimab binds to antigenic site II of the F protein.
