Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  (-)-Hydroxycitric acid lactone (1000-3000 mg/kg; fed for a period of 4 weeks) significantly decreases body weight at 2000 and 3000 mg/kg in chicken. Animal model: 1-day-old male broiler chickens. Dosage: 1000, 2000, 3000 mg/kg. Administration: Fed for a period of 4 weeks. Result: Body weight and average daily gain (ADG) in the 2000 mg/kg and 3000 mg/kg were significantly lower.
