Description

Dihydrocelastrol (DHCE) is a triterpenoid derivative obtained by the hydrogenation of celastrol; it inhibits tumor cell proliferation and induces apoptosis via caspase-dependent pathways. In multiple myeloma cells, its antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects may be related to the inhibition of the ERK1/2 and IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathways.
