Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  Animal model: male Balb/cnu/nu mice with A549 xenograft. Dosage: 2.5 mg/kg. Administration: intraperitoneal injection; 3 injections/week, for 80 days. Result: Attenuated tumor growth In vivo.
• In Vitro:
  Apoptosis Analysis Cell line: A549 cells. Concentration: 0, 6.25, 12.5, 25 and 50 μM Incubation time: 48 h. Result: Induced apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner in the A549 cells. Cell Cycle Analysis Cell line: A549 cells. Concentration: 0, 6.25, 12.5, 25 and 50 μM Incubation time: 48 h. Result: Arrested cell cycle at the G2/M phase and sub-G1 peaks. Western blot analysis. Cell line: A549 cells. Concentration: 0, 6.25, 12.5, 25 and 50 μM Incubation time: 48 h. Result: Increased the protein expression levels of Bax, P53 and cleaved caspase-3 and decreased the protein expression levels of Bcl-xL, Bcl-2 and full-length caspase-3.
