Description | Rabbit polyclonal to CD80.T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD80 is a single-pass type I membrane protein, which is involved inthe costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte activation. T-cell proliferation and cytokineproduction is induced by the binding of CD28 or CTLA-4 to CD80. CD80 also interacts withadenovirus subgroup B fiber proteins and acts as a receptor for these viruses. CD80 is expressed onactivated B-cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. |
