Description

Mouse monoclonal antibody to CD43 which is the major O-glycosylated cell-surface associated sialoglycoprotein found on the cell membranes of leukocytes. Itbelongs to the surface mucin family which plays a central role in cellular adhesion tumor progression. CD43 is thought to function as a negative regulator of cellular adhesion.

  Functional application: The antibody MEM-59 activates T lymphocytes and also induces apoptosis in hemopoietic progenitor cells. Flow cytometry: Recommended dilution: 1-5 μg/ml. Immunohistochemistry (paraffin sections): Positive tissue: spleen, thymus, tonsil; recommended dilution: 10 μg/ml.
