Bioactivity

• In Vitro:
  Tenuifoliside A (6-30 μM; 24 hours) increases the C6 cells viabilitysignificantly by concentration dependent manner. But the viability of the 60 μM treatment group is suppressed. Only 60 μM TFSA induced the release of LDH, shows a toxic effect. Tenuifoliside A (10 μM; 2, 5, 7, 10, 15, 30, 45 and 60 mins) elicits a rapid (starting at 2 min) and marked induction of ERK1/2 phosphorylation peaking at 5 min. And, the enhanced levels of phospho-ERK induced by TFSA are partially blocked by ERK inhibitor U0126.
