Talipexole dihydrochloride

SKU: orb1308589

Description

Talipexole dihydrochloride (Domnin) is a multi-target agent acting as a dopamine D2 and α2-adrenoceptor agonist, and a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, with demonstrated anti-Parkinsonian effects. It is utilized in neuroscience research for studying receptor pharmacology and dopaminergic pathways in both in vitro binding assays and in vivo animal models.

In Vivo
Intracisternal injection of 10 μg/kg Talipexole dihydrochloride promotes vagal-mediated reflex bradycardia induced by injection of angiotensin in β-adrenoceptor-blocked dogs. Intravenous administration of Talipexole dihydrochloride at 30 mcg/kg initially caused an increase in blood pressure in cats. Then there is the long-term drop in blood pressure and heart rate.
