Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  Sodium houttuyfonate has been shown to protect against cationized bovine serum albumin (C-BSA)-induced glomerulonephritis in BAL-/- mice throug the suppression o the urine protein, morphological character and monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1.
• In Vitro:
  Treatment with sodium houttuyfonate results in an increase in the expression of c-Fos protein in macrophages, whil the phosphorylation level of extracellular signal-related kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) is not affected b the treatmen.
