Description

Ran-IN-1 is an orally bioavailable, highly selective small-molecule inhibitor of Ran GTPase. Ran-IN-1 non-covalently binds to the switch II domain of the RanGDP conformation, thereby stabilizing the RanGDP protein in its inactive state and effectively blocking the generation of active Ran-GTP. At the cellular level, Ran-IN-1 significantly induces apoptosis in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) cells and simultaneously impairs both homologous recombination (HR) and non-homologous end joining (NHEJ), two key DNA damage repair pathways. Ran-IN-1 has demonstrated potential application value in studies of epithelial ovarian cancer subtypes, including high-grade serous ovarian cancer.
