This myristoylated PKI 14-22 amide acetate is a potent and cell-permeable inhibitor of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). It effectively blocks PKA activity in vitro and inhibits hyperalgesia in vivo, as demonstrated by its ability to counteract pain sensitization induced by spinal 8-bromo-cAMP.
