Description

PC1244 is a long acting fungicidal azole that targets A. fumigatus CYP51A and CYP51B, inhibits ergosterol synthesis in A. fumigatus with IC50 of 8 nM; demonstrates potent antifungal activities against clinical A. fumigatus isolates with a MIC range of 0.016-0.25 ug/mL; PC1244 is also effective against a broad spectrum of pathogenic fungi (MIC= <0.0078-2 μg/ml), especially on Aspergillus terreus, Trichophyton rubrum, Candida albicans; shows fungicidal activity (MFC=2 μg/ml), 8-fold more potent than voriconazole; shows superior in vivo effects in immunocompromised mice.
