ABC294640 (Opaganib) is an orally bioavailable, selective sphingosine kinase-2 (SK2) inhibitor. By blocking SK2, it prevents the formation of pro-survival sphingosine-1-phosphate, inducing apoptosis and inhibiting proliferation in SK2-overexpressing cancer cells. It has demonstrated antitumor activity in preclinical in vitro and in vivo studies across various cancer models.
