Description

OH14 is an inhibitor of cellular FLICE-like inhibitory protein (cFLIP) and acts as a sensitizer for tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL). It selectively binds to the DED1 pocket of cFLIP, disrupting its recruitment to the TRAIL death-inducing signaling complex without affecting the recruitment of procaspase-8 to FADD, thereby activating procaspase-8. When combined with TRAIL, OH14 enhances TRAIL-mediated apoptosis and reduces cell viability in breast cancer models. OH14 is applicable for research related to breast cancer.
