  In the indomethacin-induced enterocolitis rat model, nilotinib has a positive effect on the macroscopic and microscopic pathologic scores, ensuring considerable mucosal healing. Nilotinib decreases PDGFR α and β levels and increases the colonic apoptotic scores.
