NAE-IN-3 (compound 1) is a potent and highly selective non-covalent competitive inhibitor of NEDD8-activating enzyme (NAE) with an IC50 of 0.8 μM. It inhibits NAE by blocking the ATP binding site and demonstrates selectivity over related E1 enzymes UAE and SAE. NAE-IN-3 is applicable for cancer research.
