Description

MitoPBN is a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant that accumulates in mitochondria driven by membrane potential. It traps hydroxyl and carbon-centered radicals, inhibits lipid peroxidation initiation, and suppresses superoxide-mediated UCP activation without directly reacting with superoxide. This compound is used in vitro and in vivo to study mitochondrial oxidative stress in fields like neurodegeneration and ischemia-reperfusion injury.
