Description

This miRNA extraction kit is specifically designed to isolate and purify microRNA from a wide range of sample types, including animal and plant tissues, cultured cells, serum, and plasma. In addition to miRNA, it efficiently recovers total RNA as well as small RNA species less than 200 nucleotides in length, such as siRNA and snRNA. Combining phenol/guanidine-based lysis with a silica-membrane purification system, the kit utilizes a unique lysis buffer that potently inhibits RNases while removing the bulk of cellular DNA and protein through organic extraction. The resulting high-purity RNA is ready for direct use in downstream applications such as Northern blotting, real-time PCR, and microarray analysis.
