Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  α-Methyl-DL-aspartic acid (147 mg/kg, intravenous injection) was used to treat L-citrulline-induced retinal vasodilation in Wistar rats and was found to reduce retinal vasodilation in rats.
• In Vitro:
  α-Methyl-dl-aspartic acid markedly diminishes the antihypertensive effects of Bj-BPP-10c in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) .
