Description

Mequitamium iodide is a platelet activating factor (PAF) inhibitor that suppresses PAF-acether-induced platelet aggregation and bronchoconstriction. It functions by interfering with secondary signaling pathways activated by PAF rather than through direct receptor antagonism. This compound is used in research to study PAF-mediated processes in inflammation, asthma, and thrombosis in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
