Meayamycin B ((+)-Meayamycin B) is a potent SF3B1 inhibitor that modulates pre-mRNA splicing to increase the expression of pro-apoptotic protein Mcl-1S and decrease Mcl-1L expression, without affecting the alternative splicing of Bcl-x. It synergizes with ABT-737 to induce apoptosis and demonstrates anticancer activity against non-small cell lung cancer.
