It induces delayed gastric emptying, enhances GLP-1 release, reduces food intake, decreases body weight and fat mass, preserves lean body mass, improves glucose homeostasis, boosts insulin sensitivity, reduces hepatic fat accumulation, and lowers serum triglyceride and total cholesterol levels.
