Description

(KFF) 3K-acpP is an antimicrobial agent formed by the conjugation of the cell-penetrating peptide (KFF) 3K with an acpP peptide nucleic acid. It binds to the translation initiation site region of acpP mRNA, obstructing ribosome binding through steric hindrance and inhibiting the translation of acyl carrier protein. Additionally, (KFF) 3K-acpP induces bacterial envelope stress response pathways and triggers the depletion of outer membrane protein F (ompF) transcripts. This compound is useful for infection-related research.
