JGB1741 is a potent and selective SIRT1 inhibitor (IC50=15 µM) that induces p53-mediated apoptosis in breast cancer cells by modulating the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and increasing acetylated p53 levels. • In Vitro:
  JGB1741 (1-10000 nM) inhibits the cell proliferation of K562, HepG2 and MDA-MB 231 cell lines. JGB1741 (0.01-1 μM) induces apoptosis of MDA-MB 231 and shows a cell cycle arrest at G1 phase with more cells entering into sub G0/G1 phase. JGB1741 (0.01-1 μM) increases the global acetylation of H3K9, acetylated p53K382 levels and p53 expression.
