  METHODS: To investigate the effects on pulmonary fibrosis in mice, Isoliensinine (10-40 mg/kg) was orally administered three times daily for 14 days to Kungming mice with bleomycin (BLM)-induced pulmonary fibrosis. RESULTS: Isoliensinine exerted a significant inhibitory effect on BLM-induced pulmonary fibrosis, which may be due to its antioxidant and/or anti-inflammatory activity as well as inhibition of BLM-induced overexpression of TNF-α and TGF-β1.

• In Vitro:
  METHODS: Human breast cancer cells MDA-MB-231 were treated with Isoliensinine (1-40 µM) for 24-72 h. Cell viability was measured by CCK-8 Assay. RESULTS: Isoliensinine exhibited anticancer properties in MDA-MB-231 cells, with estimated IC50 values of 108.1 µM, 22.78 µM, and 18.34 µM at 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h, respectively. METHODS: Cervical cancer cells C33A, Caski, HeLa and SiHa were treated with Isoliensinine (5-40 µM) for 24 h. The expression levels of target proteins were detected by Western Blot. RESULTS: Isoliensinine significantly reduced CDK2 and cyclin E at the protein level in a dose-dependent manner in the four cervical cancer cells.
