Description

INF 195 is a selective NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor that suppresses pyroptosis and IL-1β secretion in macrophages. It has been shown to attenuate isoproterenol-induced hypertrophy in H9c2 rat myoblasts, making it a useful research tool for studying myocardial ischemia and infarction in both cellular and animal models.

Bioactivity

• In Vitro:
  INF 195 (0.1-100 μM, 72 hours) was able to inhibit macrophage pyroptosis and IL-1β release driven by NLRP3. At lower doses (5-10 μM, 10 min), INF 195 was able to reduce the infarct zone in isolated mouse hearts and effectively prevented myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury.INF 195 (10 μM), as an ethyl ester precursor of the active metabolite 3-(3-(2-chlorophenyl)propanoyl)piperidine-1-carboxylic acid, was able to penetrate into H9c2 cardiomyoblasts, and hydrolyzed intracellularly to this active form.
