Bioactivity

• In Vivo:
  In male SD rats (after pylorus ligation), Ilaprazole sodium hydrate (3, 10, 30 mg/kg; intraduodenally) significantly inhibits gastric acid secretion and volume.
• In Vitro:
  In rabbit parietal cell preparations, Ilaprazole sodium hydrate irreversibly inhibits H+/K(+)-ATPase in a dose-dependent manner, with an IC50 for pump inhibitory activity of 6.0 × 10(-6) mol/L at pH 7.4.
