Description

HDAC11-IN-5 is a potent and selective HDAC11 inhibitor with oral bioavailability, exhibiting an IC50 of 0.021 μM. This compound enhances fatty acid acylation levels of substrate SHMT2 in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells. It induces apoptosis, G1 phase cell cycle arrest, ferroptosis, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and terminal myeloid differentiation in AML cells. Additionally, HDAC11-IN-5 demonstrates antitumor activity in an MLL-AF9-induced mouse AML model, making it useful for cancer research, particularly in the context of acute myeloid leukemia.
