Description

GPX4-IN-21 (Compound 4d) is a selective inhibitor of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4). It induces ferroptosis and decreases the levels of ferroptosis-related proteins SLC7A11, SLC11A2, and GPX4. GPX4-IN-21 also promotes the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde (MDA). This compound exhibits potent antiproliferative activity against melanoma, with an IC50 value of 9.42 μM in A375 cells. GPX4-IN-21 is applicable in cancer research, particularly for studies on melanoma.
