GDC-2394 sodium salt is an orally active selective NLRP3 inhibitor that concurrently inhibits IL-1β with IC50 values of 0.4 μM (human) and 0.1 μM (mouse). This compound specifically inhibits NLRP3-induced caspase-1 activity without affecting NLRC4-dependent inflammasome activation.

  GDC-2394 sodium salt (25 mg/kg, intravenous injection, 7 days) was used to treat a functional rat model of gouty arthritis and significantly inhibited knee joint swelling after 48 hours.
