FG-2216 (YM-311) is a potent, orally bioavailable inhibitor of HIF-prolyl hydroxylase 2 (PHD2/EGLN1) with an IC50 of 3.9 µM. It is a research tool for studying hypoxia signaling and has been shown to induce significant, reversible erythropoietin (Epo) production in vivo.
