Description

Ferfluor-1 is a ferroptosis inhibitor with the ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier, exhibiting an EC50 of 57 nM in HT108 cells, 75 nM in OS-RC-2 cells, and 2.3 nM in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. Additionally, it serves as a ratiometric photoluminescence probe and acts as a specific indicator of ferroptosis fluctuation. Ferfluor-1 has been shown to improve brain disorders associated with stroke and Parkinson's disease (PD) models.
