Ezutromid (BMN 195) is a small molecule translation modulator of utrophin (EC50: 0.4 µM) that increases utrophin expression via transcriptional upregulation. This orally bioavailable compound has been shown to improve muscle function in the mdx mouse model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy through in vivo studies.
